What to do if the car accident occurred

1 Check for Injuries

Before worrying about your vehicle, check to make sure you and your passengers are safe. Adrenaline, however, can mask the symptoms of potentially serious injuries, so always follow up and see a doctor, even if you think you feel fine.
Check on the occupants of the other vehicle, as well. Do not try to move anyone who seems seriously hurt, or you could end up exacerbating potentially serious neck injuries.

2 Notify the Authorities

Most states require drivers to call the police and file a report, if more then one vehicle was involved in an accident. Before law enforcement leaves the scene, be sure to get a copy of the police report.

3 Get to Safety

When you call the authorities, check to see if it’s OK to move your vehicles. However, the police may want to document the scene beforehand. If the vehicle is still running and you’re given the OK, pull as far onto the shoulder as possible or move into a nearby parking lot. However, if the vehicles are immobilized or you’re told to leave them as is, get out as soon as it’s safe and wait for the police and towing company on the sidewalk.

4 Exchange Insurance & Contact Information

Always exchange insurance information after an accident, even if the damage to the vehicles doesn’t seem severe. Crashes often cause serious issues that may not be immediately apparent, some of which could make your vehicle unsafe to drive. Write down the other driver’s name, address, and license plate number, as well as their insurance provider and policy number.

5 Call us for towing

Even if your vehicle still runs, there could be underlying problems that aren’t immediately visible. Consider calling us for a tow service instead of taking it back out on the road. Our technician can inspect the vehicle for a bent frame, engine damage, and other issues that could make your car hazardous to drive.
